EFA Legislative Alert, April 19, 2006
Dear Eagles and Friends:
Wonderful news! SB20, the Unborn Victims of Violence bill, also known as the Laci and Connor bill, passed the House Judiciary committee today 5-2. After being tabled last month we were delighted today to see the bill picked up from the table. A BIG THANK YOU goes to Representative John Coghill for his excellent defense of the bill against the many amendments offered. The bill now goes to House Finance Committee, the final referral. Thank you to everyone who prayed and called and wrote messages to get this bill moved!
Reminder: The Eagle Forum Alaska Grassroots Lobby Training session will be held in Juneau May 7-8. The class will be taught by Tuckerman Babcock, Kristi Leaf and Lt. Governor Loren Leman.
