EFA Legislative Alert, March 28, 2006 (AM)
Dear Eagles and Friends:
SB20, Unborn Victims of Violence bill, (Laci & Connor) was NOT heard in House Judiciary yesterday. The committee will meet again tomorrow at 1:00 PM. Please pray for good health and clear judgment for every member of that committee. Their names again are: Peggy Wilson, Lesil McGuire, Pete Kott, Max Gruenberg, Les Gara, Tom Anderson and John Coghill.
Senate Judiciary will take up HB272, the Poker room bill, tomorrow morning at 8:30 AM. Please contact me if you or someone you know have been adversely affected by gambling. We oppose this bill and will be testifying against it.
Below is a message from our national Eagle Forum office inviting REAL WOMEN to come to Washington D.C. and let their voices be heard on the abortion issue. Too often, the only voices being heard in D.C. are the shrill voices of Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton and other pro-abortion women who recite the pro-abortion rhetoric and give the impression that they represent ALL women in America. This is a terrific opportunity to lobby our elected representatives in Washington and network with other pro-lifers from around the country. Details are below. If you are interested in this opportunity, please let me know.
Thank you for all you do.
Working for the family,
Debbie Joslin
President, Eagle Forum Alaska

Eagle Forum invites you to Washington, DC to join pro-Life women in person
or “in spirit” to lobby your Senators on key life-saving legislation on
Wednesday, April 26, 2006 for the
2nd Annual REAL Women’s Voices!
MORE DETAILS
Last year, Eagle Forum members from 13 states were represented and we hope to see more this year!
Now is the time for Women to make their voices heard!
The abortion lobby continues to peddle the myth that all women are "Pro-Choice" despite the fact that poll after poll shows that Americans - including women - are more pro-life than "pro-choice." Now it's time to set the country straight - and more importantly set the United States Senate straight! Abortion is harmful to women and children.
We need REAL Women’s Voices on this historic day in Washington, DC to show Congress abortion is harmful to women and children! Women can join us in person or “in spirit”.
Pro-Life Women are a powerful force in the fight to end abortion-on-demand in this country and worldwide. Now it is time for the 2nd Annual REAL Women’s Voices to ring in the U.S. Senate on key issues like embryonic stem cell research and the Child Custody Protection Act.
We are asking women to come to Washington, DC, to join pro-life women from across the country to make their voices heard for REAL Women’s Voices – a pro-life women’s lobbying day on Capitol Hill. Women can join us in person in Washington, DC or “in spirit.”
We need women to contact their Senators on April 26th as part of this historic day. REGISTER to join us in person in Washington, DC or “in spirit” by agreeing to participate from your home town on this historic day.
The all day event costs just $25 to participate or $5 for students and will include:
- Breakfast and training session, including lobbying materials
- Lobbying (we will set up meetings with your Senators office)
- Reception on Capitol Hill with Pro-Life Members of Congress and leaders of the participating organizations
“REAL” Pro-Life Women are needed on Capitol Hill to show the U.S. Senate that being “pro-woman” and “pro-life” are synonymous! Come to Washington, DC, to defend life!
Now, more than ever, women must make their voices heard. We cannot sit back and watch as life-threatening bills are passed – like the unethical embryonic stem cell research bill already passed by the House.
Please also ask women you know to take part in this historic day that is being sponsored Eagle Forum and 5 other national pro-life, pro-family groups.

Thank you for speaking out on behalf of women and unborn babies.
Sincerely,
Lindsay Randall
Legislative Assistant, Eagle Forum
